Picture standing at the bow of a boat, hand on the rail, full sun — and it never occurs to you to let go. Electropolished steel reflects the sun instead of absorbing it the way dark powder-coating does.

Chromium forms an invisible oxide barrier across the surface. Scratch it, and oxygen rebuilds it within moments. Electropolishing strips the free iron that corrosion starts from.

True or false: outdoor furniture needs refinishing every few years.

Nothing to chip, nothing to trap.

Powder coat exists to protect metal that needs protecting — chip it on mild steel and rust starts underneath. Ours is bare electropolished stainless. A scratch is cosmetic, because there's nothing beneath the surface but more stainless.
